Pupil Premium
Introduced in April 2011, the Pupil Premium is a Government initiative that provides additional funding to schools. The Pupil Premium Grant is provided in order to support certain pupils in reaching their potential, by accelerating their progress.
The Pupil Premium Grant is government funding, which schools can access to support eligible children with their education. The Pupil Premium allocations for 2023-2024 are £1,455 per eligible child, as long as the pupil is entitled to Free School Meals (FSM). Additional funding is available for service children, looked after children and children adopted from care.
Our aim is to fully maximise this opportunity and make sure each eligible child, who is entitled to this additional funding, show a difference in their progress.

We consider the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development to be at the centre of our school ethos and the responsibility of the whole curriculum.
We strive to provide and deliver an education that provides opportunities where children can explore and develop their own values and beliefs, spiritual awareness, high standards of personal behaviour, a positive caring attitude towards other people, an understanding of their social and cultural traditions and an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures.
We believe spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted through the school ethos, the climate of the school, collective worship, all curriculum areas, the school behaviour code, extra-curricular activities and circle time activities. We have daily opportunities for reflection through a variety of mindfulness activities.
