Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website. The website is just the start of our school and will hopefully give you an insight into our school.

Thomas Whitehead Academy is a Church of England school, and is part of the Diocese of St Albans Multi Academy Trust.  Thomas Whitehead is a one form entry school that has a nursery and pre-school on site. We welcome children from 2 yrs old to the end of key stage 2, when they move onto the next phase of their education. Our nursery provides places for 3 and 4 year old children who can attend either 15 hours, or 30 hours where requested. Our pre-school children start with us at 2 yrs old and transition to our nursery when the time comes. 

Our school is a happy and busy place where everyone is valued and challenged to fulfil their full potential.  The  curriculum is carefully planned to ensure the children’s skills are built upon year on year so by the time they are ready to transition on to the next phase of their education, they are not only resilient, confident and happy children but self motivated and active citizens of society. 

As a church school, our strong Christian values and ethos underpins all our work, making our school a happy, safe and engaging place to be.  It also gives all of our children an excellent platform for embracing differences. We have close links with All Saints' Parish Church and have a weekly worship led by Father Diego.
